About the Role
Pay: $50.00 - $90.00 per hour
This is not a typical spa or chain position. You'll be trusted to manage your own day from start to finish: unlocking the studio, setting the atmosphere, greeting clients, providing exceptional massage sessions, handling check-out and rebooking, and closing up when finished.
This role is 100% solo except during mobile or in-studio couples massages, vendor events, and corporate chair massage sessions, where you'll work directly alongside me. It's ideal for someone who thrives on independence, enjoys a calm work environment, and takes pride in creating a seamless experience from start to finish.
Position Details & Benefits
- 60% commission + 100% of tips.
- All utilities included.
- Therapists supply their own linens unless opting into Bloomly's linen and laundering service (commission adjusts to 55% if used).
- Use of studio equipment (table, towel warmer, oils, music, diffuser, etc., , massage tools)
- Relaxed, moody, and welcoming studio environment.
- Booking/scheduling platform, online booking system, reminder texts, emailed intake forms, and payment processing handled for you.

Ideal Candidate
You're confident, self-reliant, and professional. You take pride in running a peaceful studio environment on your own, ensuring each client has a memorable, high-quality experience. You enjoy the occasional teamwork that comes with couples massages, events, and off-site sessions. You're also comfortable being part of Bloomly's creative side -- appearing in photos or short marketing videos that highlight our studio, atmosphere, and services.
Requirements
Responsibilities
Manage your own schedule within studio operating hours.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
Open and close the studio independently (lights, ambiance, cleanliness).
Welcome clients, complete intake, and provide customized massage sessions.
Handle client checkout, payment, rebooking, and membership sign-ups.
Maintain a clean, professional, and organized studio between sessions.
Communicate with the owner as needed for scheduling, supplies, and updates.
Uphold Bloomly Massage's brand standards and exceptional level of client care.
Must handle your own taxes in accordance with 1099 independent contractor status.
Requirements
Active Pennsylvania Massage Therapy License.
Must carry and maintain professional liability insurance.
Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Minimum 1-year of hands-on experience with paying clients (preferred).
Comfortable working completely solo day-to-day, without on-site supervision.
Comfortable being on camera occasionally for Bloomly Massage's marketing photos and videos.
Reliable, professional, problem-solver, and self-motivated.
Strong communication and client service skills.
Provide any add-on services you choose to offer (optional).
